How to tell if he's lying when he tells you he isn't married

It's a surprising and sad fact that people lie all the time even when they don't need to. Why they do it is a mystery to me but the vast majority of people will lie to you at some point. Often it's small lies that make little or no difference to you or maybe someone is trying to protect you from something and you wouldn't want to hear the truth anyway.

It's the big lies that you need to be aware of and it's well worth a little of your time to learn how you can detect when you're being lied to.

Some people are better at lying than others and it's important that you get to know your suspect a little when he isn't lying so that you can compare his responses when he does start lying. Some people are naturaly nervous or make little eye contact but that doesn't automaticaly mean that they're lying to you. You need to look out for changes in the way they behave which is the secret to becoming a human lie detector.

It may seem obvious but the easiest way to find out if someone is married is by asking them outright. Of course if you're asking your new boyfriend that you met last night he might just want to conceal the fact if he is married.

It's not an exact science but if you study your new partner closely and ask the right searching questions then it's often very easy to tell whether they are lying to you. If someone is about to lie to you they will often look away and upwards to avoid making eye contact with you.

People often become visibly uncomfortable when they are lying, another tell tale sign of dishonesty. They might shuffle in their seat, stumble over their words and blush. I know that I go bright red when I'm trying to conceal the truth from someone which is a dead giveaway. I'm a hopeless liar so I avoid it.

You don't need to ask questions directly about their marital status either. Just keep asking all sorts of questions and listen carefully to the replies. If someone isn't telling you the whole truth then sooner or later they are going to slip up and say something which you know is absolutely a lie. As soon as that happens you can't trust anything else they've told you and it's time to walk away.

It's simple but effective: Find out if someone is married by asking them. If you're in any way suspicious or you need a little more reassurance you can use an online service to find out if they're married.
